Comment:Ref.Solar energy rate class change.
I oppose the creation of a new rate class for net metering.Idaho power says that they charge a flat fee for maintaining
the power grid an know that it is not adequate.They make up for it by higher rates per kW.I suggest that the flat rate
be adjusted for all grid users and if they want to create new rate classes,let them do it for the low income qualifiers that
they say the artificial flat fee is intended to protect instead.Also,they quote dramatic growth percentages of solar
energy in the state.Easy to do when the actual number of systems is only 1,400.(+/-).They really need to promote
alternative energy not work on ways to destroy it.They are being short sighted in their “solution”.When the costs
become a negative for me,I will simply disconnect and install a battery system.Those costs are coming down quickly.
While the scale is much different,projected costs are .04 per kW in Australia.
