Hanian, Secretary ldaho Public Utilities Commission 472 West Washington Street Boise, ldaho 83702 Re: Case No. IPC-E-17-11 2017 Integrated Resource Plan - Notification of Corrections Dear Ms. Hanian This letter is provided to notify the ldaho Public Utilities Commission and the parties of corrections in ldaho Power Company's ("Company") published 2017 lntegrated Resource Plan ("lRP") document and the associated Appendix C: Technical Report. None of the corrections impact the relative ranking of resources or the results of the Company's portfolio analysis. 1. ln Figure 7.6, shown on page 89 of the 2017 lRP, which illustrates the levelized cost of energy ('LCOE") associated with various studied resources, the table states that the LCOE for Boardman to Hemingway ("B2H") is $39. ln fact, the correct number is $46. The cost per megawatt-hour for each of the resources presented in Figure 7.6 is an estimate for comparative purposes only and was not used in the valuation of the portfolios. Therefore, the error does not impact the Company's analysis or conclusions. 2. The underlying costs used for portfolio P1 reflected an on-line date for B2H of 2027 , but should have reflected an on-line date of 2026. The correction increases portfolio P1's new resource fixed costs from $91,266,000 as shown in Table 9.3 on page 111 of the 2017 IRP to $102,388,000. The result of the correction has no impact on the relative ranking of this resource or the results of the Company's portfolio analysis. '1221 W. ldaho St. (83702) PO. Box 70 Boise, lD 83707 Diane M. Hanian, Secretary October 31,2017 Page 2 The Company confirmed that the correct on-line dates were used in the analysis of the remaining three B2H portfolios. lt was discovered, however, that the on-line date for B2H identified in Table 8.7 on page 101 of the 2017 IRP was listed incorrectly. The correct date for B2H listed in Table 8.7 should read 2025, as was used in the analysis, not 2026. The Company confirmed that the on-line date listed in Table 8.7 on page 101 of the2017 lRP was only a presentation error. 3. Two additional corrections were discovered in separate tables contained in the 2017 IRP, Appendix C, in the table titled Cosf lnputs and Operating Assumpfibns found on page 73 and the table titled Levelized Cost of Energy found on page 76. Both tables incorrectly labelthe capacity associated with B2H as 250 megawatts ("MW"). The correct capacity for B2H is 350 MW. lmportantly, the correct numberwas used in the valuation of the portfolios, and so this error also does not impact the Company's analysis or conclusions. lf you have any questions regarding these corrections, please do not hesitate to contact me.
