AMENDED APPLICATION,
RESPONSE, AND OBJECTION
OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY
ln Case No. IPC-E-17-07,ldaho Power Company ("ldaho Power" or "Company")
filed a Response and Objection to the natural gas forecast proposed by ldaho Public
Utilities Commission Staff in the annual update to the surrogate avoided resource
("SAR") avoided cost rates. The ldaho Public Utilities Commission treated ldaho
Power's Response and Objection as an application and opened Case No. GNR-E-17-02
to process the matter.
AMENDED APPLICATION, RESPONSE, AND OBJECTION OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 1
ldaho Power hereby submits the following insertions and deletions as corrections
and an amendment to the Application/Response and Objection. The last sentence of
the middle paragraph on page 2 should be amended to read as follows:
However, for ldaho Power's 2015 Integrated Resource Plan
("lRP") process as well as for avoided cost rates based upon
the lncremental Cost lRP ("lClRP') methodology, ldaho
Power utilizes EIA's Annual Energy Outlook from a different
EIA Reference Case subset: the Natural Gas Spot Price at
Henrv Hub rrgrrr]lTqv. r rrvrr vrrLlann, lJrrJr. lJiah Ail anz.l l1aa Daoarrraa anr{
+eennebgy (nom $/MMBtu) forecast, adjusted for pricing at
Sumas and ldaho City Gate.
The first sentence of the first paragraph on page 6 should be amended to read as
follows:
As stated above, this forecast is currently utilized in beth
ldaho Power's 2017 IRP process-@
Additionally, the second sentence in the first paragraph of the conclusion section
on page 7 should be amended to read as follows:
This would align SAR published rates with the current
natural gas forecast utilized by ffi
pneth€del€gy-the Company's 2017 lRP, and the Company's
annual standard avoided cost rates in Oregon.
ldaho Power respectfully requests that the Application/Response and Objection
filed in Case Nos. IPC-E-17-07 and GNR-E-17-02 be amended to reflect the above-
referenced insertions and deletions.
