HomeMy WebLinkAbout20170512order_no_33765.pdfOffice of the Secretary Service Date May 12,2017 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE PETITION OF ) IDAHO POWER COMPANY FOR A )CASE NO.IPC-E-17-O1 DECLARATORY ORDER REGARDING ) PROPER CONTRACT TERMS,) CONDITIONS,AND AVOIDED COST ) PRICING FOR BATTERY STORAGE )ORDER NO.33765 FACILITIES ) On February 27,2017,Idaho Power Company petitioned the Commission for a declaratory order regarding proper contract terms,conditions,and avoided cost pricing for battery storage facilities under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA).The Commission issued a Notice of Petition and Notice of Modified Procedure,setting the following deadlines for comments from the battery storage facility developers (Franklin Energy and Black Mesa Energy),affected utilities,any interested persons,and the Company: Battery Storage Facility Developers April 5,2017 Staff,Affected Utilities,and Interested Persons April 27,2017 AilParty Reply May 11,2017 Order No.33729. On May 9,2017,Franklin Energy contacted all parties asking to extend the reply deadline to May 15,2017.All parties responded with non-opposition.The same day,Franklin filed its Motion with the Commission,to be heard at the May 11,2017 Decision Meeting. COMMISSION DECISION Given that the requested extension is brief,and there being no opposition,we will grant the Motion and extend the reply deadline to May 15,2017. ORDER IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Franklin Energy’s Motion to Extend Time is granted.The deadline for all parties’to file reply comments shall be May 15,2017.
