A comment on proposed redundant power line in Ketchum,Idaho: 1.Our local community has already said No! Blame County Planning and Zoning Commissioners denied permits to allow this project to proceed. 2.Alternatives have not been adequately investigated.Distributed energy resources would provide a much more effective independent power source than the proposed line. 3.The project would be very expensive for Wood River Valley residents.PUC staff testimony indicates undergrounding aportionofthelinecouldcostValleyresidents$11.5 million. 4.Idaho Power has not proved a need for the line. Both St Luke’s Hospital and the Sun Valley Company could use generators to provide emergency energy needs. Thank you for your consideration of this important issue. Unique Identifier:184.183.127.6 1
