The northern portion of the Wood River Valley contains the largest electrical load served by a radial line in Idaho Power's service territory. The risk to public safety and security, North Valley economy, our economic development efforts, and public perception warrant a redundant source of power. In addition, the existing line, built in 1962, is requiring increased maintenance. Because there is only one transmission line, the Northern part of the County will be without power when the line is de energized due to planned maintenance or unplanned events. The redundant Jine recommendation was created collaboratively by a still active 19 member community advisory committee, we concur with the public process to date, and support their recommendation to construct this 138KV redundant transmission line. Sincerely, Director Sun Valley Economic Development PO Box 3893, Ketchum, ID 83340 dougbrownsv@gmail.com cell 208-309-0187
