Hailey power lines
I am writing with regard to the proposed new power line to run from the Bellevue substation to Ketchum. I am board
president of the Greenhorn Owners Association and I believe my views on this project are shared by most of my
neighbors (but clarifying that we haven't taken a poll and this letter is not officially representing our entire
neighborhood).
I ask that the county Planning and Zoning commission and public utility complete a more thorough analysis regarding
the cost of burying the lines along Rt. 75. While we can't see the power lines from inside Greenhorn Gulch, we do drive
that corridor constantly and think this may be an opportunity to make the new lines more visually appealing and less
vulnerable to damage from storms and vehicles. Just as Ketchum will benefit from underground lines, so would mid­
valley, and I ask you to please consider it.
