Comment:Commissioners,Please consider the following points regarding the case:
Solar power provides the following benefits to society:
o Carbon Reduction
o Community Resiliency
o Provides a Freedom of Choice for energy users
o Creates Jobs for the long term and for the short term during construction
o Low to no ongoing environmental impact when operable
Solar power is not a threat to the rate payer.By agreeing to long term contracts,Idaho
Power can accurately forecast the value of the solar generated energy, which is not possible
with other fuel sources, especially in light of recent EPA legislation and the current
drought reducing water resources.
The sun always shines it doesn’t always rain.
It is time for Idaho Power to move into the 21st century where multiple power generation
sources is the best option for the people, the residents of Idaho.

Comment:I’m a 4 term city councilmen in Ketchum,ID.I’ve been involved in the energy
business for the past 8 years, specializing in Lighting Retros, but also consulting on Solar
projects.
Solar is finally becoming a viable alternative energy source, especially in Idaho. The
obvious benefit of this type of energy is the carbon reduction and it’s positive effect on
Climate change. It also helps with community resilience and freedom of choice for customers.
In our community it has created jobs and helped with economic diversity. This helps
stabilize our economy. The existing rules seemed to be working for all parties, even Idaho
power.
I dont like the way Idaho Power is trying to push these new rules onto all of us.The last
thing I want is another Coal powered plant going on line.We need to look to all
alternatives and Idaho Power needs to exhibit better stewardship of it’s energy stable.
Thanks

Comment:I strongly support the local solar energy project “Site Based Energy.”Solar energy
is important to me because we need alternative energy options to offset the carbon dioxide
production of burning fossil fuels to combat climate change. The proposed project would
reduce carbon in the environment by 1720 metric tons annually which would have the equivalent
of removing 360 cars from our roads.

Hi Jean,
I got your email address from a friend.I tried to fill out the case comment form online this morning to comment on case
IPC-E-1 5-18,but for some reason my email didnt get delivered. Here is what I wanted to say:
I am writing this letter in support of the Wood River Community Energy Project and supporting long term negotiated rates
for 10 individual 100kW solar PV projects.Solar is important to both me and my community because it promotes carbon
reduction and helps preserve the environment that is such a valuable part of this area. This project in particular will create
job opportunities for the community and help set and example for the future.Idaho Power should not be permitted to
bundle these 10 individual solar projects into one project that exceeds 100kW to reduce the guaranteed payment terms
and rates. This would make the project financially unfeasible for the 10 individual project owners and effectively kill the
project. This is clearly only in the best interest of Idaho Power not the community. Please do not let Idaho Power set the
wrong precedent. As a state and a community,we need to pave the path for future generations to live in a this beautiful
state surrounded by nature.Part of our job is to protect the environment and support projects like the Wood River
Community Energy Project.
Thanks,
Heidi Shelton
