SUBJECT: IDAHO POWER’S APPLICATION FOR APPOVAL OF NEW
SCHEDULE 82 (FLEX PEAK PROGRAM); CASE NO. IPC-E-15-03
On February 4, 2015, Idaho Power Company applied to the Commission for an
Order authorizing the Company to implement a new Schedule 82, Flex Peak Program, and to
continue recovering demand response expenses in the manner it currently does. The Flex Peak
Program is a voluntary, internally-managed demand response program for commercial and
industrial customers who wish to reduce their energy loads for short periods during summer peak
days. The Company asks the Commission to use Modified Procedure for the case, and to issue
an Order by May 1, 2015, so the Company will have 45 days to solicit program participants
before the program season starts on June 15, 2015.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Filing and Notice of Modified
Procedure setting an April 8, 2015 deadline for interested persons to comment, and an April 15,
2015 deadline for the Company to reply.
