Following Commission Approval of Exchange of Certain Transmission
Assets
Dear Ms. Hanian
On June 5,2015, the ldaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") issued
Order No. 33313 in Case No. IPC-E-1441 authorizing the exchange of certain
transmission assets between ldaho Power Company ("ldaho Power") and PacifiCorp.
ln addition, the Commission directed ldaho Power to establish a regulatory deferral
account for transmission revenues resulting specifically from the transaction and
directed ldaho Power to file an annual report detailing the revenues going into the
deferra! account and the deferral balance. Subsequently, in Case No. IPC-E-16-06,
ldaho Power's compliance filing request following the Commission's approval of the
exchange of certain transmission assets with PacifiCorp, the Commission issued Order
No. 33561 amending its previous Order No. 33313 to eliminate the requirement that
ldaho Power establish a regulatory deferra! account for changes in transmission rates
resulting from the asset exchange. Because the Commission eliminated the
requirement of a deferral account and therefore no revenues are being tracked in the
deferral account, ldaho Power will not file annual reports unless notified otherwise.
