Comment:I am Margaret Macdonald Stewart and I strongly support the Idaho PUC to accept both
solar project contracts,#IPC-E-14-19 and #IPC-E-14-20.
The world is changing,solar is essentially a free source of energy with no dangerous waste
produced and coal energy will always be dirty and dangerous to the environment and our
health.
The cost of keeping coal plants in compliance with ever stricter environmental and health
standards and safeguards along with the continual declining cost of solar energy make
acceptance of both of these solar project contracts a no-brainer.
By accepting these solar contracts,Idaho will benefit from increased tax revenue,thereby
increasing the economy;Idaho Power will benefit by showing its customers that it is really
paying attention to its own 2012 Idaho Energy Plan adopted by the ID legislature envisioning
such renewable energy projects and the environment will be a big winner,keeping dirty coal
emissions out of the air we breathe.And the ratepayers will benefit from not pouring
additional precious money down the black hole of maintaining dirty coal-fired energy plants.
With this win-win-win option before us,it seems only sensible that the PUC accept these
solar contracts.The future is here and solar and wind are the headlines of the day.

advantage of these clean,renewable resources and approve as many solar and wind projects for
generating electricity as possible.Whatever the downsides,they will not be nearly as great
as relying on coal or nuclear-generated energy.For the sake of all Idaho citizens and
future generations,please support the use of wind and sun for energy.
