Idaho Power filed an Application with the Commission on December 4,2013,
requesting that the Commission issue an Order approving special contract terms for electric
service between Idaho Power and J.R.Simplot Company.Simplot filed an answer on February
5,2014,disputing Idaho Power’s contract language and requesting that the Commission include
Simplot’s suggested clauses in the contract.On February 25,2014,the Commission issued a
Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure setting a comment deadline of March
28,2014,and a reply deadline of April 4,2014.Order No.32984.
On March 31,2014,Simplot filed a Motion to Extend Time to Reply with the
Commission.Simplot maintains that,given the magnitude of the issues,the short period in
which to prepare a reply puts Simplot at a disadvantage.Simplot asserts that an extension of
time will not prejudice any parties nor will it broaden the issues.Simplot states that it has
contacted the other parties to this case and no party opposes an extension of time.Simplot,
therefore,requests that the Commission extend the deadline and allow parties until April 11,
2014,to file reply comments.
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSION
Based on a review of Simplot’s Motion,and considering that there is no objection by
other parties to the case.we find it reasonable to extend the reply comment deadline by seven
days.Persons and parties wishing to file reply comments must do so no later than April 11,
2014.
