It seems that the IPUC rubber-stamps any request for increases that Idaho Power makes, without any regard for the fact that many Idahoans are struggling to make ends meet, and have been for the last 5 years.12.5%?Really?We just recently subsidized Idaho Power to eliminate much of their work-Force through the implementation of remote meter reading (which does nothing to enhance the customers ability to monitor their power usage). Now Idaho Power wants the public to pay more, undoubtedly to help recoup their losses on the failed Hoku debacle. In addition,Idaho Power wants to gut the cost-benefit provisions and subsidies that encourage people to invest in and utilize alternative energy sources.I hope the the Commission rejects this attempt in its entirety, and once again becomes the representative of the public good, not what benefits a for-profit corporation.
