The recent large rate increase requested by Idaho Power has many consumers upset .My
question is how IP and IPUC analyzes these rate hikes,Both Idaho Power and the IPUC employ
analysts to support the requested increase and review the submitted rate case,Both IP and
IPUC are funded (directly or indirectly)by the citizens and companies who reside and do
business in the Idaho Power coverage area.Why have 2 sets of analysts?Why not hire
impartile analysts who swear to come up with resonable rate increases or decreases without
dividends and stock price issues or political ramifications.Maybe some money can be saved
and passed on to the consumers of this State.
