On December 29, 2016, Idaho Power Company ("Idaho Power'' or "Company")
submitted its annual advice filing to update the Substation Allowance amount outlined in
Schedule 19, Large Power Service, pursuant to Idaho Public Utilities Commission
("Commission") Order Nos. 32893 and 32914. --Per Commission Staff Mike Louis' request, the Company is supplementing this
advice filing to provide the confidential attachments in Excel format on a confidential CD. In
addition, Mr. Louis has requested the confidential Excel files from last year's filing in Advice
No. 15-15, and the information to verify the cost of a 44.8 MVA transformer, which are also
being provided on the confidential CD. The total cost of the 44.8 MVA transformer in the
substation allowance calculation is derived from the transformer supplier's Quote Summary
with 6 percent sales tax and 6 percent stores loading added.
Please note that information on the confidential CD is commercially sensitive and if
disclosed freely could subject Idaho Power or its customers to risk of competitive
disadvantage or other business injury. The undersigned attorney, in accordance with RP
67, certifies that the workpapers contain information that is a trade secret as described in
Idaho Code§ 74-101, et seq., and§ 48-801, et seq., and as such are exempt from public
inspection, examination, or copying.
