I am outraged that Idaho Power is seeking to quadruple solar panel users' monthly service charges and take the that solar power without providing fair compensation through its net metering program. What ridiculous excuses they give of trying to ensure fairness to all customers!! Please deny their requests to modify the rates of those who have installed solar panels and, by doing so, have reduced the burden on the system Idaho Power proports to protect. Thank you for this opportunity to comment. I support Idaho Powers Net Metering program and do not want to see this changed! It is important to allow homeowners to offset their energy bill by generating their own power. And, if they generate more than they consume, they should accumulate credits on their power bill. Taking away from this program will cause a blossoming sector of Idaho's clean energy industry to wither, and make our transition away from fossil fuels much harder. Let's not take a step backwards for the environment... Solar power benefits homeowners and the Idaho public by reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. Idaho Power is leading an all out attack on renewables under the guise of saving rate payers $.
