Two of these are very bad for us; the 2nd and 4th. The 2nd proposal('Modify the pricing structure... ')would almost 2bl the yearly cost to provide power to our 37 yr old, all electric home according to a rough, verbal estimate provided me by Idaho Power. Present estimate '$584 and proposed estimate of '$923. This takes into account the 10.8kw solar PV system we invested in and began using on 17 June 2010. This is a severe penalty! The 4th proposal (Eliminate the practice of providing payments. . .)seems highly unfair. Most of our surplus occurs during summer months (most favorable for solar PV generation)and goes to Idaho Power during a peak time of their air condition needs (also the summer). They semed to encourage this benefit to them at the time we made our substantial investment. What's changed? I plan to have a surplus at the end of the year and they want to eliminate these credits, if they exist, after the December billing period. This would usurp potential proceeds from our investment and seems unfair. The fair way is as they do now and pay us for any excess on a yearly basis. This seems punitive and in no-one's best interest. The form submitted on http://www.puc.idaho.gov/forms/ipuci/ `€ipuc.html IP address is 96.18.179.255 1
