IPC-E-12-27 AUTHORITY TO MODIFY ITS NET 1 METERING SERVICE AND TO INCREASE ) NOTICE OF SCHEDULE THE GENERATION CAPACITY LIMIT ) ) NOTICE OF WORKSHOPS 1 ) ORDER NO. 32767 On November 30, 2012, Idaho Power Company applied to the Commission for authority to modify its net metering service. The Company says its proposal will impact 350 net metering customers to varying degrees, depending on how they use and generate energy. The Company requests that the Commission issue an Order by July 1, 2013. On January 15, 30 13, the Cornmission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of Intervention. See Order No. 32715. The Idaho Conservation League; Powerworks, LLC; Pioneer Power, LLC; the City of Boise; Snake River Alliance; and Idaho Clean Energy Association, Inc. intervened in the case. Numerous public comments also have been received. Per Commission Order No. 32756, a prehearing conference occurred on March 21, 201 3. All parties attended. At the prehearing conference, the parties agreed to a schedule by which to process this case. We appreciate the parties work in putting together the schedule. We find the parties' agreed-upon scl~edule to be reasonable. Accordingly, with this Order, we adopt and provide notice of the schedule, the public workshop, and the public and technical hearings. ' NOTICE OF SCHEDULE YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission adopts the following schedule pursuant to the agreement of the parties: DATE ACTIVITY April 25,20 13 Public Workshop for customers and other interested persons, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Commission's offices I Commission Rule 241.04 discusses two types of formal public hearings: a "customer hearing" and a "technical hearing." A "customer hearing" is a public hearing for customers, public officials, and other persons not related to the parties (i.e., to the Company and intervenors) to provide testimony. The Commission has indicated it will schedule a customer hearing in this case. A "technical hearing," on the other hand, is a public hearing where the parties present witnesses and their prepared testimony and exhibits. NOTICE OF SCHEDULE, NOTICE OF WORKSHOPS ORDER NO. 32767 April 29,201 3 Settlement Workshop for parties, starting at 930 a.m. at the Commission May 10,2013 Deadline for Staff/Intervenors to file direct testimony and exhibits May 31,2013 Deadline for Company's rebuttal testimony and exhibits Week of June 10, Customer and Technical Hearings as scheduled by 201 3 Commission July 1,2013 Target date for Commission Order The Commission provides notice of the public workshop below. Notices of the exact dates and times for the customer and technical hearings will be issued, if needed, at a later date. Please note that the prepared testimony and exhibits must conform to the requirements of Rules 231, 266 and 267 of the Commission's Rules of Procedure. Reference IDAPA 3 1 .O1 .01.23 1 and .266-267. The May 10 and May 3 1, 201 3, deadlines are for testimony and exhibit filing with the Commission. E-copy service on parties of record should be made on the same date to the extent practicable with full service of testimony and exhibits provided to parties of record no later than the following business day. NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Cornmission will hold a public workshop for Idaho Power customers and other interested persons commencing at 9:00 A.M. ON THURSDAY, APRIL 25,2013 IN THE COMMISSION'S HEARING ROOM, 472 WEST WASHINGTON STREET, BOISE, IDAHO. The purpose of the workshop is for the Company to discuss its net metering proposal. At these meetings, customers and others will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the Application and how customers may further participate in the proceeding. Representatives of the Company, Commission Staff, and other parties will attend. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Application and other documents filed in this case may be viewed on the Commission's website, www.puc.idaho..gov by clicking on "File Room" and then "Electric Cases." They also can be viewed during regular business hours at the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, 472 W. Washington Street, Boise, Idaho. Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
