Does Idaho Power not realize that with today's economy people cannot afford to have thier power bills raised. I know that it is a struggle as it is now to pay a $100.00 power bill each month. I know that if it comes down to having to pay the power bill or buy food for my family unfortantly I would have to have my family go hungery just so I would pay the power bill so that they can stay warm. So I am asking that you think of the customers and vote NO on any power rate increase. Thank you. Although regulated somewhat by the PUC, they remain a monopoly, and a fat one at that. Sure, they show little profit on paper, but they funnel profits through Idacorp to hide their windfall from the general public. They create golden parachutes for their top executives. They have an overabundance of late model equipment and inventory. I personally know some retired Idaho Power executives and I can tell you that they have spent careers outside of reality of what the lean, competitive business world is really like. The PUC needs to hold this power-generating monopoly in check, and make them use their own slush of cash to fund their expansion projects.
