HomeMy WebLinkAbout20120420order_no_32527.pdfOfflce of the Secretary Service Date April 20,2012 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION ) OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY FOR )CASE NO.IPC-E-12-14 AUTHORITY TO INCREASE ITS RATES ) AND ITS RATE BASE TO RECOVER ITS ) INVESTMENT IN THE LANGLEY GULCH )ORDER NO.32527 POWER PLANT ) In Order No.32503 issued March 27,2012,Micron Technology,Inc.was granted intervention in the above-referenced case.On April 16,2012,Micron’s local counsel (Brian Hansen of the firm Holland &Hart)filed a Motion for Limited Admission Pro Hac Vice on behalf of Frederick J.Schmidt pursuant to Commission Rule 43 and Idaho Bar Commission Rule 227.The Commission grants the Motion. THE MOTION In his Motion,Mr.Hansen maintains that Mr.Schmidt is an active member in good standing of the State of Nevada Bar and he maintains a regular practice of law with Holland & Hart,LLP,in Nevada.He further asserts that Mr.Schmidt is neither a resident nor licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho.Mr.Schmidt has been granted limited admission in prior Commission proceedings. Mr.Hansen certified that he has served a copy of the Motion on all the other parties in this case and that a copy of the Motion,accompanied by the $200 fee and a Certificate of Good Standing,has been submitted to the Idaho State Bar. FINDINGS The Commission has reviewed and considered the Motion for Limited Admission Pro Hac Vice.Pursuant to IPUC Rule 43 and IBCR Rule 227,and the representations made by counsel,the Commission finds it is appropriate to grant limited admission to Mr.Schmidt. ORDER IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Frederick J.Schmidt of the firm Holland &Hart is granted Limited Admission Pro Hac Vice as co-counsel for Micron Technology.
