Re: Status Report on Hoku Settlement Negotiations, Case No. IPC-E-12-02
Dear Commissioners:
In Order No. 32437 issued Januar 13,2012, the Commission directed that Hoku Materials and
Idaho Power Company "immediately enter into negotiations regarding Hoku's Petition to
Reform the Amended Special Contract." Order No. 32437 at 11 (Case No. IPC-E-II-28). The
Order also directed the paries to advise the Commission of their progress no later than February
1,2012. ¡d. at 12.
Since issuance of Order No. 32437, Hoku, Idaho Power and Commission Staff (hereinafter "the
Paries") have met on four occasions in settlement negotiations. The Paries have asked me to
report that progress has been made and we anticipate that negotiations wil continue.
