I am totally against this request for an increase, as it is based on an inconclusive guess
that it will better our state.
Ada county already has a contract with Fortistar Energy which creates power at a considerably
lower cost to the consumer (not to mention the lower cost of production).
The Dynamis contract does not guarantee that the waste to energy Project will work or even
that the waste to energy Project will probably work. While science and technology make the
Dynamis project possible, science and technology have not made the Dynamis project
economically feasible.
I hereby request that you turn down this request which will considerably raise the electric
rates of Idaho citizens who are already facing economic problems.

Dear Commissioners,
I am having a di fficul t time understanding why you, as our elected officials, would
entertain, sponsor and push through a contract that so overwhelmingly favors Dynamis Corp. at
the expense of literally every taxpayer in the state. As I understand it, You have already
wasted over $2mm in taxpayer money to cover the costs associated with the design of Dynamis'
project based on 'experimental technologies' that mayor may not prove to be reliable. Now
you are giving further consideration to committing your constituents to a permanent burden of
increased energy costs because Idaho Power will be forced (by energy law) to purchase the
energy Dynamis is proposing to generate. You have no idea whether their technology is
economically feasible and yet you are willing to sacrifice our tax dollars and energy dollars
on the altar of government payments and tax incentives, which are about to expire. What are
you thinking??
Idaho Power costs are already exorbitant, and this deal forces them to purchase Dynamis' s
energy at more than twice the going rate for electricity. Who do you think is going to pay
for the extra costs? That' s right, we the taxpayers and your constituents. What are you
thinking? What is Idaho Power thinking?
I know I don't live in Ada County, but your decision affects my family and every other family
that lives in this state!!
Please come to your senses and back away from this ill advised donnybrook.
