COMES NOW the Commission Staff by and through its attorney of record, Donald
L. Howell, II, and respectfully request that the Commission grant the Staff an extension of time
in which to file comments in the above referenced case.
On November 18, 2011, Idaho Power Company fied an Application with the
Commission seeking authority to modify the general overhead rate it charges in the Company's
Rule H taiff relating to new service attachments and distribution line installations and
alterations. On Januar 4, 2012, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure
requesting that interested persons submit comments no later than Februar 2, 2012. Idaho Power
may fie reply comments (if necessar) no later than Februar 9, 2012.
EXTENSION REQUEST
The Commission Staff requests a seven-day extension (until Februar 9, 2012) in
which to fie comments in this matter. Staff is stil gathering information that will be
incorporated in comments.
MOTION OF COMMISSION STAFF
FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME 1
Staff believes an extension of seven days wil not unduly delay the Commission's
review of this issue. There is ample time for the Commission to issue its Order before the
proposed effective date of March 1, 2012. Staff counsel has contacted counsel for Idaho Power
and the Company has consented to the delay. Finally, Staff believes that an extension of seven
days wil not unduly prejudice any party submitting comments to this case.
PRAYER
Based upon the foregoing, Staff respectfully requests that the Commission grant Staff
seven additional days in which to fie comments in this matter. Staff does not object extending
the date for reply comments, if necessary.
