This past summer has been the highest water year in the longest period of time in my memory. So therefore all the power generating dams should have been operating at Maximum capacity, all summer and even up to today. The IPUC has recently granted Intermountain Gas a decrease which would give Idaho Power less expense on the purchase of fuel for their Natural Gas generation plant. The waters is free, the air is free, there should not be any need for higher revenue for the upcoming year. If Idaho Power is trying to raise revenue to build more generation windmills or power plants that needs to be paid for as a Capital Expense from their previous profits. I as a farmer cannot charge the consumer for my products in advance to buy new equipment, but I must buy equipment from the profits of the sales from my product. I encourage a decrease in power rates as did you grant Int. Gas Co. a decrease, but absolutely not an increase.
