I read about the fixed cost adjustment and pension funding increase in the Idaho Power flier.
I am opposed to this as their rates have been raised year after year. In this economic
depression, an increase will put additional burdens on their customers especially those whose
incomes down. Idaho Power is not entitled to an increase every year just because they exist.
I know they answer to stockholders but these stockholders must also live in the real world of
this declining economy. As to the pension funding, get real. Idaho Power is known as have
an extremely generous pension plan. Well, it is time for it to join the real world too.
Most pension plans are be~ng modified down and the managers have to make their cut from their
skills not from a public monopoly paying just because they ask for it. As you can tell, I am
opposed to any increase at all being granted to Idaho Power this year. They have to live in
the real world as do their customers.
