I do not believe it is appropriate to increase customers i rates at this time to recover
pension funds. Many of us have lost jobs, taken pay cuts, forced to take furloughs, and seen
our own savings significantly diminished. I am outraged that the company would increase our
rates now and use this to cover their pension fund expenses. The j usti fication indicates the
· need to attract and retain high quality employees... I - that is not currently an issue. MANY
qualified workers are out of a job, and many are under-employed. I do not believe the
justification is valid. Nor is retention an issue - Idaho Power employees are WELL
compensated and make considerably more than similar job classifications at the state and
local level.
