I read on KTVB. com that the State is looking for input about purchasing wind power. I
believe we should get on board with this. Wind power will be supplying about 20% of the
countries power by about 2030. Let's get on board with this to get somewhat ahead of the
game. This type of i power' is very clean and very needed in this day and age. We are going to
see our fossil fuels used up, maybe not in our lifetime, but possibly in our childrens
lifetime. Do we want to see them suffer because we did not act upon this amazingthing called
. Wind Power'? Let i s do this, and do it big!!!!! Only good things will come from this great
creation! ! !

In regards to Should Idaho Power buy wind energy? State wants to know. I think that Idaho
power should start investing/installing their own wind farms and solar power systems and buy
it from developers, but only if it is at a competitive price. Renewable power is what we
need to invest in.

Why wouldn' t the PUC just invest in building our own wind power stations nearby in the
Treasure Valley area. The state needs to begin utilizing the constant winds near the Snake
River for Ada & Canyon Counties.

I think that Idaho Power should DEFINITELY buy wind energy from the new Hagerman wind farms.
Coal, the leading greenhouse gas contributor, can be replaced (in part) with wind - an
affordable, inexhaustible source of energy that creates no pollutipn, no waste, and no
natural resource depletion! It is ridiculous to me that we don' t use more wind energy
already. It would also boost our local economy by creating more jobs. Please please please
please PLEASE advertise this proposal heavier. Try and get more community members to take a
closer look at this idea and make this comment form easier to find on your page! I will do my
part in getting people to respond to you with their input. Thanks for listening.
