My only comment regarding this ord.er is I i m not sure $7. øø a month is enough incentive to get
businesses on board. The business II manage has 4 big AC units at two of our locations (16, øøø
sq ft each). We are a schedule IØ9~ and normally have over $1, øøø ~ month electric bill. I' m
sure the peak shaving from our loc!ations would far surpase that of a residential customer.
So, I would believe a bigger incentive would be fair. It may be possible this pilot program
is not intended for the size operation that we have. We would be very interested in
participating in an AC cycling program but I believe a bigger incentive would be needed. If
businesses will sign up for a $7. øø a month credit I think that is great.

Adding commercial businesses to the A/C cycling program makes perfect sense, and is a
wonderful expansion of the residential program to reduce peak load requirements and thereby
reduce use of peak generation plants. Please move forward with implementation of this
program as soon as possible.
