I am urgently requesting the PUC to turn down Idaho Power i s request for another rate hike.
They have had several recently and in light of the economic hardships currently unfoldding,
ALL of us must make concessions and tighten our belts. Please consider those who are out of
work and on fixed incomes, as this particular issue will create another incredible burden for
those already stretched to the max. Please, please say NO.

I find it hard to understand that part of the rate inc rease is for a low water year. The
Snake River is running very high which means that water is being released from upstream
reservoirs at a time that power generation is not at a high level. Have you seen Shoshone
Falls lately!All the projected streamflows I have seen recently show near 100% of normal. It
looks like Idaho Power is not immune to the corporate executives that don't get it ie: AIG,
GM. They better understand that we are all tightening our belts to get through these tough
times, and that needs to include them. I hope that the Commission will use some common sense
to rein in this corporate entitlement mentality. Best Regards

Proposed rate increase of 11% - At this economic times, when my salary of $20,000 /yr working
as a secretary at a public school is being consider for a 5% cut by legislature, it seems
unbelievable that Idaho Power would ask for an 11% rate hike. Everyone has to cut back in
order to survive . . . they can too!
