Many of our local members are working on the road and/or out of state to provide the income for our Idaho families. If approved, please stipulate to use union skilled labor whèrever possible. I believe in the labor skill of our union members and feel that you get what you pay for. Please remember that the bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweet taste of low priced is forgotten. Idaho is sufferig economically as well as other states. This power plant is on Idaho land, the power it produces will be paid by Idaho residents, therefore, it should be awarded to Idaho contractors and workers instead of the Texas contractor. If the number of workers from Idaho is not sufficient to man the plant, then and only then should out of state workers be called in. WeI have two children who are pipe fitters/steamtters out of the Idaho local. Due to lack of work in Idaho they have had to travel out of state to find work. One of them is a single father with a 15 year old son. He had to tae hi out of school in Weiser, Idaho where he had been attending since Kindergaren and enroll him in the state that he is now working. We request that you consider keeping the revenue in Idaho rather than giving it to Texas and Louisian. Fran Blake mfranblake(iyahoo.com 1
