Idaho Power has been making news announcements about their practice of selling green tags. I
will be working on January 15th, and am not able to attend that meeting. They said that PUC
was looking for public comment.
I have a difficult time seeing why keeping the green tags "for the record" and presumably to
attract investors, would be better than using the profits from the sale of the tags to keep
power costs lower. It there are advantages, the Idaho Power spokesman failed to present them
in the media presentations that I have heard. Absent the information that there is some
advantage to consumers gained by NOT selling green tags, my input is: continue to sell them.
