RADIO SERVICES INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENT BY
CENTURYTEL OF IDAHO,INC.DBA CENTURYLINK AND
CENTURYTEL OF THE GEM STATE,INC.DBA CENTURYLINK WITH
NEV CINGULAR WIRELESS PCS,LLC;CASE NOS.CEN-T-16-OI AND
CGS-T-1 6-01.
BACKGROUND
Under the provisions of the federal Telecommunications Act of 1996,interconnection
agreements must be submitted to the Commission for approval.47 U.S.C.§252(e)(1).The
Commission may reject an agreement adopted by negotiations only if it finds that the agreement:
(I)discriminates against a telecommunications carrier not a party to the agreement;or (2)
implementation of the agreement is not consistent with the public interest,convenience and
necessity.47 U.S.C.§252(e)(2)(A).
THE APPLICATION
On June 10,2016,CenturyTel of Idaho,Inc.dba CenturyLink and CenturyTel of the
Gem State,Inc.dba CenturyLink submitted Applications for approval of a Commercial Mobile
Radio Services Interconnection Agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS,LLC.These
agreements establish terms and conditions for interconnection and intercarrier compensation.

STAFF ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed the Applications and believes the agreements are consistent with the
FCC orders and pro-competitive policies of this Commission,the Idaho Legislature,and the
federal Telecommunications Act.Staff recommends Commission approval of the Applications.
