The commission said it would consider renewal of the Weatherization Assistance for Qualified Customers (WAQC) program in 2007 after reviewing reports of the program’s progress. Costs for the program are included in base rates paid by Idaho Power customers.   According to annual reports filed by Idaho Power, weatherization projects completed during the three years were 264 in 2004, 570 in 2005 and 540 in 2006. Total energy savings as a result of the weatherization projects was about 7.5 million kilowatt-hours.   The commission will take public comment on the matter through May 17.
