A technical hearing scheduled for Tuesday in Boise will be postponed one day to Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 9:30 a.m. in the commission’s hearing room at 472 W. Washington St. The public hearing scheduled for Wednesday night, Jan. 23, in Boise has been postponed to Thursday, Feb 7, at 7 p.m. also in the commission hearing room. The delays will allow interested parties and the public more time to review a possible settlement proposal between the company, commission staff and other intervenors in the case. Details of the settlement are anticipated to be available Tuesday. The public hearings scheduled for Jan. 29 in Chubbuck and Jan. 31 in Twin Falls will proceed as scheduled. A settlement is anticipated to be announced Tuesday between the company and the intervenors in the case. Intervenors include commission staff, the Department of Energy (representing the INL site in eastern Idaho and Mountain Home Air Force Base), the Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, the Industrial Customers of Idaho Power, Micron and the Kroger Company, which does business in southern Idaho as Fred Meyer and Smith’s Food and Drug. The public hearings will give Idaho Power customers an opportunity to comment on the proposed settlement. The settlement must be later reviewed and approved or rejected by the commission. The revised schedule of technical and public hearings is as follows: Technical hearing: Wednesday, Jan. 23, 9:30 a.m., commission hearing room at 472 W. Washington St. Boise. Public hearing: Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Chubbuck City Council Chambers, 5160 Yellowstone Ave., Chubbuck. Public hearing: Thursday, Jan. 31 at the Twin Falls City Council Chambers, 305 Third Avenue East, Twin Falls. Public hearing: Thursday, Feb. 7, in Boise at the PUC hearing room, 472 W. Washington St., Boise.
