BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
IN THE MATTER OF THE PETITION OF
OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY FOR AN
ORDER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING
ENTER INTO CONTRACTS TO PURCHASE
ENERGY GENERA TED BY WIND-POWERED
SMALL POWER PRODUCTION FACILITIES
CASE NO.IPC-05-
RESPONSE OF RNP AND NWEC TO IDAHO POWER'S MOTION TO MODIFY
SCHED ULE
Renewable Northwest Project ("RNP") and NW Energy Coalition ("Coalition
do not oppose Idaho Power s Motion to Modify Schedule. However, RNP and the
Coalition respectfully request that the Commission only authorize a very short delay to
allow for exploration of settlement, in recognition of the significant investments certain
projects have made in reliance upon existing Commission orders implementing PURP
and the current availability of the federal production tax credit. A period of two weeks to
explore settlement should suffice.
RNP and the Coalition prefiled Direct Testimony of Troy Gagliano. Mr.
Gagliano has made travel plans to attend the scheduled hearing (coming from Portland
Oregon) and will be available to be called as a witness if the Commission elects to go
forward with the hearing.
