BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION
OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY FOR AN
EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE ITS 2006
INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN ORDER NO. 30092
CASE NO. IPC-06-
On June 19, 2006, Idaho Power Company filed a Motion for Extension of Time to
file its 2006 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The Company s Motion states that the "principal
reason for this request for an extension of time to file the 2006 IRP arises out of constraints
placed upon the Company s ability to integrate transmission costs and transmission availability
into its resource evaluation matrix. The Motion explains that recent orders issued by the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission made it difficult for the Company to obtain transmission
costs and other transmission information that is necessary to complete the IRP by the June 30
2006 deadline. The Company retained an independent consulting firm to perform a transmission
analysis for the IRP, but nonetheless, the Company states it needs an extension of time, until
September 29, 2006, to complete and file its IRP. Staff did not oppose the Company s Motion
for an extension of 90 days to complete its 2006 IRP, and recommended the Commission issue
an Order approving the Motion filed by the Company.
Good cause appearing in the Motion filed by the Company, the Commission has
determined to grant Idaho Power s Motion for an extension oftime to file its 2006 IRP.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Idaho Power s Motion for Extension of Time to file
its 2006 Integrated Resource Plan is granted. Accordingly, Idaho Power s IRP must be
completed and filed with the Commission on or before September 29 2006.
THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order may petition for
reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order. Within seven (7)
days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for
reconsideration. See Idaho Code ~ 61-626.
