When I lived in Port land, Oregon , my mother-in-law always raised a beautiful garden and had great flowers. Every year she had a dairy- man deliver a pick-up loaded with cow manure to her place. She would put a layer of the hot manure under the dirt of the starting beds. It would keep the box warm so the plants would grow, and diluted with soil put around her plants As time went on it became harder and harder to find the cow manure. We were able to find chicken manure but it wasn t as good. Sincerely, ~!:' K.~ 421 S, Curtis Rd.# 25 Boise , Idaho 83705 (208) 344-1190
