IPC-O6- NOTICE OF HEARING On April 13, 2006, Idaho Power Company (Idaho Power; Company) filed a Petition to modify the "method for determining the load growth adjustment rate, which is one of the components used to determine Idaho Power s (annual) Power Cost Adjustment ((PCA)) rate. Petition at 1. The load growth adjustment rate or factor is typically a reduction to power supply expenses within the PCA. The load growth adjustment is included as a component in the PCA' true-up computations. The Company s filing was accompanied by supporting testimony. In Idaho Power s recent rate case settlement Stipulation, the parties agreed "that the PCA load growth rate issue will be addressed contemporaneously with the Company s upcoming PCA" Application. Stipulation at ~ 6(d), Case No. IPC-05-28. Consequently, Idaho Power filed the present case in compliance with the Stipulation. On May 12, 2006, the Commission issued Order No. 30035 adopting the rate case Stipulation. On May 18, 2006, the Commission issued Notices of Petition and Intervention Deadline in Case No. IPC-06-8. Intervention was granted to the Industrial Customers of Idaho Power, NW Energy Coalition and the U.S. Department of Energy. On June 12, 2006, the Commission issued a Notice of Parties. YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED the following scheduling in Case No. IPC-06- was proposed by Commission Staff in e-mail communication to the parties on June 30, 2006. No party voicing objection to the scheduling and the Commission concurring, the following scheduling is adopted in Case No. IPC-06- September 15 2006 Direct testimony prefile deadline Staff/Intervenors October 20, 2006 Rebuttal testimony prefile deadline NOTICE OF SCHEDULING NOTICE OF HEARING Prefile dates will be "in-hand" dates. The parties are encouraged to schedule their Discovery accordingly. Reference IDAPA 31.01.01.221-234. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct a technical hearing in Case No. IPC-06-8 on MONDAY, OCTOBER 30,2006 COMMENCING AT 9:30 A.M. AT THE COMMISSION HEARING ROOM, 472 WEST WASHINGTON STREET, BOISE, IDAHO continuing, if necessary, to October 31,2006 at 9:30 a.m. at the same location. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that persons desiring to present their views without parties' rights of participation and cross-examination are not required to intervene and may present their comments without prior notification to the Commission or other parties. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Company s Petition together with supporting testimony in Case No. IPC-06-8 can be reviewed at the Commission s office in Boise, Idaho and at the principal office ofIdaho Power at 1220 West Idaho Street, Boise, Idaho during regular business hours. The Petition is also available for public inspection on the Commission s Website at www.puc.idaho.gov under the "File Room" icon and then "Electric Cases. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held pursuant to the Commission s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and the Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be conducted according to the Commission s Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.000 et seq. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
