Re: Wind Power Above-The Hagerman Valley
We are all for wind power BUT we sure don t understand why the unsightly
behemoths have to be placed right above one of the most scenic spots in all
of southern Idaho. The residents of the Hagerman Valley choose to live here
because we love the beautiful landscape and the rural country way of life.
To place twenty one more on the horizon will ruin what we cherish so much.
Why can t they be placed further to the west so they don t tower over the
valley. There is over 100 miles of desert to the west. The existing seven
towers slipped in without much of a warning. Most of the valley did not
expect to see them day and night with their flashing beacons that close to the
rim. They are now a subtle reminder that we are not so rural as we would
like to be. We don t like living in an industrial zone. PLEASE - NO MORE!
At least not where they show.
