IPC-O5- On February 18, 2005 , Idaho Power Company (Idaho Power; Company) filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) requesting authority to institute a pilot program intended to remove disincentives that hinder the Company s pursuit of cost-effective demand-side management (DSM) resources. In its Application, the Company described two DSM programs proposed for inclusion in the pilot program. These two DSM programs were the Energy StarCID Homes Northwest Program and the Rebate Advantage for New Manufactured Homes Program. On April 1 , 2005 , Idaho Power filed a Motion to Withdraw its Application. The Company notes that parties to the collaborative process to develop the pilot program now believe that there are other DSM programs that would be better candidates for testing the mechanism to remove disincentives. The Company has concluded that procedurally it would be preferable to withdraw its Application in its entirety and make a new application. The Company wishes to emphasize, however, that it will continue to pursue both of the above mentioned DSM programs even though the Company is requesting that its Application be withdrawn. Commission Findings Idaho Power has requested that its Application in Case No. IPC-05-5 be withdrawn. Reference IDAP A 31.01.01.068. The Commission finds that no procedural notices in Case No. IPC-05-5 have been issued. The Commission finds it reasonable to grant the Company s Motion to Withdraw its Application in Case No. IPC-05-5 and to close the case docket.
