Comment description: stand appauled, reading in todays business section of the
newspaper that Idaho Power, ONCE AGAIN , is asking for approval too increase their rates.
This appears to be a quarterly request by them anymore. They just change their reason for
the request. My question is... WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH??? Corporate greed is destroying our
world a buck at a time. In an economy where corporate profits continue to soar (like Idaho
Power s) and paychecks continue to decline, many people on fixed incomes CAN NOT survive,
let alone pay their utility bills that continue to RISE. The Idaho Public Utilities
Commission should stand firm with all utility companies on behalf of it's citizens and not
allow any further rate increases as long as these companies are profitable. Show me their
annual books and how many millions they pay out in bonuses to their executives every year
as they continue to ask for these increases. Once again , I say, when is enough profit
enough?? ?
When the maj ori ty of people are living in the streets because they can t afford to heat or
illuminate their homes any more? It's time to make a stand and tell them... NO MORE
INCREASES. . . PERIOD!

Comment description: I greatly OPPOSE any more increases to Idaho Power. I just paid my
latest ill , and again the usual antics. We already pay an increased power rate, BUT, if
you go just above a rate set by Idaho Power (USAGE) they charge an additional fee. Then if
your power usage goes above another Idaho Power figure, you pay an additional fee. Thats
2 additional fees they already impose, PLUS the already high charge for power. And in the
Customer Service Section , their statement says for METER MAINTENANCE, AND to assist in
payment of bills and processing fees. Thats like giving them money to send you a bill.
have been in this same home for over 28 years, and except to reading the meter, have yet
to see anywork done on the meter, MAYBE, once, they did install a new improved meter, but
I did not request it. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS MONO PLY OF IDAH POWER ANY MORE OF OURMONEY. It is hard enough for us older senior citizens to pay their bills and feed our
families on a limited income.

Comment = desc ipt on ~ould like to express my opinion against the proposed increase in
the monthly energy efficiency fee charged to Idaho Power customers. The current 30 cent
fee is proposed to increase to 85 cents then to $1.36 in June 2007. The programs will not
really reduce energey consumption because they are not laws regulating anyone only
programs to suggest ways to reduce energy use. The proposal will generate a significant
dollar return to Idaho Power. Sure thirty cents here and a dollar there don t seem like
much, but coupled with all the other 30 cent and dollar charges to all service bills it
gets to be expensive and the return for the money spent is just not there.
I am against this increase.
