Comment description: daho Power will be adding a maj or transmission line running through
the northern end of this valley, near many existing homes, down to the Donnelly area.
Idaho Power has the opportunity to bury this transmission line and not effect the
abondoned railway corridor that is used by many for recreational use. Recreation and the
senic beauty is the bread and butter of this valley. Overhead lines will limit or detract
from recreational use and adversely effect the adj acent landowners property values. It is
important that Idaho Power understand that adj acent landowners are customers of Idaho
Power and have put great sums of personal equity into those properties. Overhead
transmission lines allow Idaho Power to cut cost, but this corridor is also and open and
easy area to bury a transmission line. The end effect of buried lines will be beneficial
to Idaho Power, Tamarack Resort, all the power users and at the same time aninvironmentally pleasing proj ect. This could be a feather in their cap and one which they
could capitalize from in the future as could Tamarack Resort. Hopefully, Idaho Power can
understand that they can be a friend to all who live close or use this corridor torecreate. This project could be one with little or no controversy, or one that leaves a
bi tter taste in the mouths of many residents.
