Jewell, Secretary Idaho Public Utilities Commission O. Box 83720 Boise, ID 83720-0074 sPC--G -03 --- Subject:2005 Demand-Side Management Annual Report Dear Ms. Jewell: On March 15, 2006, Idaho Power Company filed its 2005 Demand-Side Management Annual Report with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. The Company later filed revisions to the report on March 16, 2006 and April 17, 2006. Since that time, it has come to my attention that Appendix 3 (page 53) contains a numeric error. Enclosed are eight copies of a revised Appendix 3. The revised ApEendix 3 includes a correction to the reporting of Total Resource Costs for the ENERGY STAR Homes Northwest program. Under the ENERGY STAR Homes Northwest program, Idaho Power provides a financial incentive to building contractors for homes built to the ENERGY STAR standard. A typical home built to the ENERGY STAR standard includes energy efficiency features that save both electricity and natural gas. The financial incentive amount paid by Idaho Power under the program was derived solely on the basis of the annual electricity energy savings potential of an ENERGY STAR home. With that in mind, it has been the company s general practice to include in the computation of Total Resource Costs only those costs associated with electricity savings. However, the Total Resource Costs originally stated for the ENERGY STAR Homes Northwest program in the report filed March 15, 2006 and subsequent revisions included, in error, the costs associated with natural gas efficiency features. The corrected Total Resource Costs for the program included in the enclosed revised Appendix 3 include only those costs associated with electricity savings. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience this error has caused you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
