Idaho Power technical hearing vacated
Boise - The Idaho Public Utilities Commission today vacated a technical hearing scheduled for
Friday regarding some outstanding issues in the recently concluded Idaho Power rate case, which
granted the company an average 5.2 percent increase.
Idaho Power and staff from the commission have proposed a settlement of the outstanding
issues, which is now under consideration by the commission.
We have reviewed the comments concerning the proposed settlement and note that no party that
would participate in the technical hearing has opposed it " the commissioners said. "We believe
the record provides a sufficient basis for the commission to render a decision on the merits of the
proposed settlement."
The outstanding issue, among other issues remaining to be resolved, deals with the method
proposed by Idaho Power to calculate its income tax expenses. The commission will issue an
order in the next few days on the merits of the proposed settlement.
