COMMISSION STAFF MOTION
FOR EXTENSION OF
COMMENT DEADLINES
COMES NOW the Commission Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and
through its attorney of record, Lisa D. Nordstrom, Deputy Attorney General, and pursuant to
Commission Rule 256 (IDAPA 31.01.01.256), moves for an extension of time within which to file
its comments on Idaho Power s Application to revise its depreciation rates for plant in service.
The Commission issued a Notice of Filing, Modified Procedure and Comment Deadline
with regard to the Company s Application on June 3 , 2003. Under the timeframe set forth in the
Notice, comments are presently due Friday, August 8, 2003 and Idaho Power s replay comments are
due August 19. Although the parties have engaged in significant discovery and settlement
discussions thus far, Staff, Idaho Power and the Industrial Customers of Idaho Power agree that
additional time is needed to determine if a settlement can be reached and draft an appropriate
stipulation and/or comments.
COMMISSION STAFF MOTION
FOR EXTENSION OF COMMENT DEADLINE -
In its discussions with Ms. Monica Moen (attorney for Idaho Power Company) and Mr.
Peter Richardson (attorney for the Industrial Customers ofIdaho Power), Staff counsel proposed a
comment deadline of August 29 2003 and a reply comment deadline of September 9, 2003. Ms.
Moen and Mr. Richardson do not object to the modification of the comment deadlines to these
proposed dates. Therefore, pursuant to Rule 256.03 (IDAP A 31.01.01.256.03), Staff requests the
Commission enter an order changing the comment deadlines as follows:
