HomeMy WebLinkAboutissue_hrg.docBEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF IDAHO POWER COMPANY FOR AN ACCOUNTING ORDER AUTHORIZING THE INCLUSION OF POWER SUPPLY EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PURCHASE OF CAPACITY AND ENERGY FROM GARNET ENERGY, LLC IN THE COMPANY’S POWER COST ADJUSTMENT (PCA). ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) CASE NO. IPC-E-01-42 NOTICE OF ISSUE IDENTIFICATION NOTICE OF SCHEDULING NOTICE OF HEARING On December 14, 2001, Idaho Power Company (Idaho Power; Company) filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) in Case No. IPC-E-01-42. The Company requests a Commission Order approving as prudent its power purchase arrangements with Garnet Energy LLC, an unregulated affiliate of Idaho Power. The Company also seeks an accounting order authorizing Idaho Power to include the prudently incurred expenses associated with the purchase of capacity and energy from Garnet Energy LLC in the Company’s Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) mechanism. The Commission Notice of Application in Case No. IPC-E-01-42 issued on January 17, 2002. On February 27, 2002, a prehearing conference in Case No. IPC-E-01-42 was held in Boise, Idaho. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that pursuant to agreement of the parties and the Commission the following scheduling is established in Case No. IPC-E-01-42. AT THE HEARING ROOM OF THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION, 472 WEST WASHINGTON STREET, BOISE, IDAHO and continuing if necessary on June 27 and June 28, 2002, at the same location. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct an evening hearing for the purpose of receiving public comment also on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, commencing at 7:00 p.m. at the same location as the technical hearing. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that discovery is available in Case No. IPCE0142 pursuant to Commission Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.221-234. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held pursuant to the Commission’s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61. All proceedings in this matter will be conducted pursuant to the Commission’s Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.000 et seq. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and prehearing conferences in this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
