AMENDED NOTICE OF COMMENT/PROTEST DEADLINE

On November 16, 2000, Idaho Power Company (Idaho Power; Company) filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) requesting approval of a proposed Schedule 62—Green Energy Purchase Program (Green Program). The Green Program is an optional program devised to provide customers an opportunity to participate in the purchase of new environmentally friendly green energy—e.g., wind, solar, geothermal.
On December 18, 2000, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure in Case No. IPC-E-00-18 and established a December 29th deadline for filing written comments or protests with respect to the Company’s Application and the use of Modified Procedure. Under Modified Procedure, the Company’s Application is processed by written submission rather than by hearing. Reference IDAPA 31.01.01.201-204. On review the Commission notes that administrative delay inadvertently shortened the comment period in this case to only 11 days. The standard comment period is 21 days. IDAPA 31.01.01.202.02. The Commission finds that public interest requires that the established comment deadline be extended.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the deadline for filing written comments or protests with respect to the Application and the use of Modified Procedure in Case No. IPC-E-00-18 is extended to Friday, January 12, 2001. Persons desiring a hearing must specifically request a hearing in their written protests or comments.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that written comments concerning this Application must be mailed to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission and Idaho Power Company at the following addresses:
