Re: ldaho Power Company Land Conveyance - Dry Creek Substation
Dear Ms. Jewell:
On December 12, 2012, ldaho Power ("ldaho Power' or 'Company') advised the
ldaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission') that the Company intended to sell 0.461
acres of land located in the Dry Creek area north of Boise and west of Cartwright Road
("Property"). The Property is part of an undeveloped 5-acre substation site owned by Idaho
Power for the possible future construction of the Dry Creek Substation. The property
consists of an unbuildable, sloped portion of the substation property, which would not be
used for future construction of the Dry Creek Substation. ln connection with Idaho Power's
sale of the Property, the buyer of the Property agreed to grant ldaho Power an underground
fiber optic easement and access route over adjacent lands of the buyer.
The Company determined that the conveyance of the Property did not require
Commission approval per ldaho Code S 61-328. !n a letter dated December 28, 2012,
Donald L. Howell, ll, Deputy Attorney General of the Commission, agreed that the
conveyance of the Dry Creek Substation property did not require Commission approval
under ldaho Code S 61-328 and advised ldaho Power to file final accounting entries when
the real estate transaction was complete. Pursuant to Mr. Howell's request, ldaho Power
hereby submits the final accounting entries for the Dry Creek Substation land conveyance.
