Smith, Commissioner ldaho Public Utilities Commission PO Box 83720 Boise, ldaho 83720-007 4 RE: ldaho Power Company Land Conveyance Dear Commissioners: ldaho Power Company ("ldaho Powed' or "Company") is scheduled to convey 0.171acres of land (the "Property') to the Ada County Highway District ('ACHD") from the Company's Hillsdale Substation site, for ACHD's development of a new traffic circle at the intersection of Amity and Eagle Roads in Ada County, ldaho. ldaho Code S 61-328 requires that public utilities in ldaho obtain ldaho Public Utilities Commission approval for the sale or transfer of property in ldaho "which is used in the generation, transmission, distribution or supply of electric power and energy to the public." ldaho Power has determined that the proposed conveyance of the Property would not affect the Hillsdale Substation or the Company's other operations and accordingly, the Company believes that the transaction would not require Commission approval under S 61-328. lf the Commission agrees with ldaho Powe/s assessment, please provide confirmation to my attention at the address above. I have enclosed a copy of the ACHD Compensation Summary form for the conveyance of the Property for your reference, and can provide additional information at the request of the Commission. ACHD is offering total compensation of $23,526.50 for the acquisition, consisting of $7,430.00 for the Property, $91 1 .50 for a temporary construction easement, and $15,185.00 for the taking of Company improvements located on the Property (asphalt and gravel drives, new access gates). The Company has determined that ACHD's proposed compensation is fair, based on the independent appraisal ordered by ACHD. P.O.
