COMES NOW !tron, Inc., pursuant to order of this Honorable Commission on July 28
2006 in the above and foregoing docket, and hereby respectfully submits its request for
copies of the utilities' responses required by this Order. I apologize for the late request
but only today realized there was a deadline for making such request. ftron intends to
participate in this proceeding and will send a representative to the workshop.
ttron, Inc. is a manufacturer of metering devices of a type which are the essence of the
subject investigation regarding Time-Based Metering as envisioned in Section 1252 of
the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and as such, possesses technical knowledge distinct and
unique from that of the general public regarding the benefits and capabilities associated
with Time-Based Metering and Communications Standards. In that regard, it would be
respectfully submitted that adverse impact would result to Itron, Inc and its potential
customers who are electric consumers in the State of Idaho from the exclusion of Itron
Inc. in its intervention in the subject oroceediuQ.!tron. Ine would further resDectfuHv
submit that the public interest would be served by allowing Itron, Inc. to participate in
this proceeding in order to facilitate the development of a complete record upon which
this Honorable Commission will make its detennination in this proceeding.
WHEREFORE, Uron, Inc. a Washington Corporation, on behalf of itself and its
potential customers who are consumers of electricity in the State of Idaho respectfully
makes this request.
